Common questions

How do I find an accredited hospital or clinic?

Check the PhilCare accredited hospital list, or email us at support@myva.ph and we'll help you find the nearest in-network provider before your visit.

When does my coverage start?

Your sign-up, payment, and required documents must be in by the 20th of the month for coverage to begin on the 1st of the following month. If everything is completed after the 20th, coverage starts the month after that.

Can I use my HMO before my physical card arrives?

Yes. Once your coverage is active, download the HeyPhil app (Android or iOS) and register with the PhilCare certificate number sent to you, so you can access your benefits even before your physical card arrives.

What if I need care in an emergency?

Go to the nearest hospital and present your card, emergency care at accredited hospitals is covered, subject to your benefit limit. If you're ever seen at a non-affiliated hospital in a true emergency, keep all documents; certain cases are reimbursable up to a set amount.

How do I use my dental benefit?

Dental care is availed through Dental Network Co (DNC) accredited clinics. Find one on the DNC website.

Who is my covered family member, and can I change them?

Your covered family member follows a set hierarchy and is set when you first enroll. Dependents can't be added or changed on an existing plan. If your family situation changes, like getting married or having a child, let us know within 30 days and we'll walk you through your options.

Something isn't working, or I lost my card. What now?

For help using your HMO once your cards have arrived, you can contact PhilCare directly. For a lost card or an account question, email us at support@myva.ph with your full name, certificate number, and the issue, and we'll help.

What about renewals, changes, or cancellations?

There's no renewal to worry about, coverage is ongoing and billed monthly until it's cancelled. Any plan changes or cancellations are handled through your client (a cancellation must be requested before the 20th to stop the next month's billing). Questions about your specific plan? Email us at support@myva.ph.
